I honestly did not expect to fall as in love with Rome as much as I did. I spent but a brief 48 hours in the city and left wanting more time to explore and soak up every part of this European gem.

By day, check out all of the amazing historical sites that Rome has to offer: the Trevi Fountain, Borghese Gardens, Colosseum, Pantheon, Vatican, MAXXI Museum, and so many more. Grab lunch at Di Qua by the Spanish steps, and don’t forget to order an Aperol spritz with your meal—it’s an Italian staple!

At night, get a pre-dinner drink and olives on the Hotel Lorcano’s beautiful patio. Then, snag a dinner reservation at any of Rome’s amazing restaurants: Roscioli, Osteria 1931, Emma, Angelina, and San Michele are among many foodies’ favorites.

For outfitting, I chose to wear pieces that felt summery and casual. Rome is an extremely chic city, known for its Italian style and flair for fashion. Compared to Los Angeles, the locals of Rome are much more dressed up for everyday occasions.

Simply put, Rome is a gorgeous and romantic city. You can feel romance in every corner, and brick, and person that you see. In two days, Rome might have become my new favorite European city.
