To say that Ben Cory Jones has come a long way is an understatement. The former New Yorker, and now LA transplant, made the big move when he decided he was tired of writing speeches for Wall Street and would much rather write stories about people he could relate to.
Disenchanted by his time in corporate America, Ben took a chance on a TV writing class at NYU and instantly knew that this was going to be a major story arc for him. A year later, he had quit his job, packed his bags, and boarded a one-way flight to LA. After four years of hustling, Ben landed his big break. He was selected for admission to the prestigious ABC TV Writing Program – which subsequently led to his work on WGN’s Underground and HBO’s Insecure – and he’s never looked back.

He continuously cites the writer’s room as his favorite place on earth. It’s a space that houses some of the smartest, funniest, and most interesting people he’s ever met. It’s also here that he gets his creative juices flowing – penning amazing dialogue for the characters he’s helped to create.
An artist, a dreamer, an entrepreneur, a risk-taker, and an obvious film buff – it was no surprise when we found Ben snuggling up to our new graphic film tees. What does he love most about them? Probably the fact that you could practically live in them. Oh, and they feel amazing on. And the movies themselves? Here’s what he had to say:

“What I love most about Rocky is that the movie is obviously about boxing, however, it’s really a love story – like most great stories.”

“Top Gun is all about Tom Cruise. Talk about a breakout role and a career-making performance. That movie made him a star.”
“It was escapist TV and made me dream of moving to California… and here I am!”
The tees are an obvious must-have for a cinephile like Ben. Easy-to-wear (just style them back to denim!) and effortlessly chic, they’re the ultimate embodiment of West Coast cool.
